BlogRush finally on the right way
Open topic | November 1st, 2007 | 4 CommentsIn case you don’t remember what were my last words about BlogRush before I removed the widget than you might want to read modern blogrush post. The whole blogrush thingie is not related to search engine optimization (SEO) but it is supposed to drive traffic to your site.
Okey, with driving traffic to your site do not expect a heap of traffic, at least it hasn’t worked for me and noone as of yet has reported how much monthly or daily traffic they receive by using their widget. Mainly I removed because the widget was almost useless for me and because of the userpanel which was nothing but harsh and had the look as it was made from a 12yr old kid.
I received this last email, lucky me it was not one of those “Shocking News” instead it was a “Boom” (he tries to be creative no?), and at least there was a good news and not promises. They have now updated the user panel and it has more detailes than it used to (well for sure, few months ago there were no stats). Now you can see which titles are those that have been clicked on people that use the BlogRush widget.
I have decided to give them yet another chance, at least everyone deserves a second chance. If things won’t work really I am going to remove it definitively. If you care to see how BlogRush can help your traffic than sign up with BlogRush and give them a try (at least they have now removed 10.000 websites for cheating their system) so the chances to get more traffic are pretty much increased.
I cant see myself using something like that, it just doesnt seem worth it.
I thought the same when I first installed, but I first removed it not because it was not driving traffic (and it wasn’t) but mainly because the panel was harsh and I like detailed stats.
Now I have installed it back since the stats page is working and because I want to give them another try. We’ll see how it goes.
Hi Astrit – I wondered how blogrush was going. As you know – I was one of those who opted not to join.
10,000 people actually cheating the system is a lot though. Hopefully it will now improve since they got shot of the scammers.
Hey Catherine,
Nice to see you again around here. What I can really say is that if one is expecting a heap of traffic from blogrush than this is the wrong program to join at.
Just today I received a new promotional email from the owner of BlogRush promoting a new site. Makes me wonder if BlogRush was only the idea to gather enough email subscription to promote other sites? If it is, than it could be a great marketing idea, will keep the widget till the end of the month, if it won’t bring at least 1 unique visitor a day (total of 30 for this month) than I am going to remove it and use the space for something more useful.
