New Google Search Engine Version
Google search engine | August 16th, 2009 | 3 CommentsAfter the big announce of Bing search engine to power Yahoo searches in feature the very first question that came up in my mind was…what will Google come up with after this announce? I am already used to the fact that Google always has a hidden Ace in their hand and they used always on the right time, same happens this time.
In fact, Google search engine is coming with a brand new version, more then just a new algorithm it looks like a new platform. Google search states that the goal for the new version is to improve indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness. You can find the new version of Google search engine at www2.sandbox.google.com if you want to confront the differences.
For the last several months, a large team of Googlers has been working on a secret project: a next-generation architecture for Google’s web search. It’s the first step in a process that will let us push the envelope on size, indexing speed, accuracy, comprehensiveness and other dimensions. The new infrastructure sits “under the hood” of Google’s search engine, which means that most users won’t notice a difference in search results. But web developers and power searchers might notice a few differences, so we’re opening up a web developer preview to collect feedback.

From the results of my query search for keywords seo optimization and other keywords as well I do see quiet a difference in results (not only for my website) except the fact that wikipedia still dominates as it used to.
What do you think about the new version of Google search engine ?
Have you checked the new version? What do you think of the search results, do the results seem more accurate to you ?
What a nice blog you have..thanks for all this information
To be honest, there doesn’t seem to be an awful lot of difference, although results are a little faster. I think it’s come out more as a challenge to Bing after Microsoft and Yahoo’s recent agreement.
Hello Sarah, thanks for dropping by.
Indeed there is no huge difference, but still something that you could notice. From the first time I checked and today there have been some changes, i guess they are still working on it.
Oh yeah this was a nice challenge, that was my point, Google always has a hidden ace and they always show it at a right timing or at least they pre-announce that to kill the gossip that might hurt them.
