Google & Webmaster Profiling Never Stops

Google search engine | January 18th, 2013 | Comments Off on Google & Webmaster Profiling Never Stops

Since the late 2011 and early 2012 I was getting the gut feeling that Google was using extensive profiling of webmasters, their websites and techniques methods they would use to promote their site. I did wrong ignoring that feeling, and to be honest never really thought about it much (or should I say I was never obsessed about that as much as I should have been).

Then on May 4th I wrote about google & seo labeling which further confirmed my feelings. The inspiration of that short like post was from potpiegirl. Here is important piece of that article in this image bellow that clearly shows webmasters are indeed being profiled and that Google is not looking at sites anymore but rather at WHO really runs those websites.

It didn’t took me long before I removed all my sites from Google Webmaster Center, except one (mainly because I wanted to see if what I am blogging about now, will indeed happen). The reason I took them off was not because i wanted to hide something, it was simply because I didn’t wanted to be profiled and neither I wanted to any more information’s to G then what they can actually get by themselves.

Today I am receiving the next email about one of the sites that I had already removed from GWC for over a year now, and I assure you this site is NOT under my account and for what anyone could know, I might have even sold this site, right?

Google not removing sites from their Webmaster Center database, even tho use has performed the removal actions. They still know which sites I owned, they still know my email and they still presume I operate the same site(s) and profiling me as the owner of those sites.

And I don’t buy the glitch story, just in case someone might think of that is what is happening.
