V7N Directory Experiment – The Beginning

I have most probably seen me mention V7N Directory on SEO Optimization several times, you have most probably also notice the banner on the right sidebar and the banner at the bottom of every post. I have V7N Directory in the seo resource page as well, and all this is not a coincidence or that I am referring this quality web directory for no reason.

But to get things more clear I have decided to spend invest $49.95 and submit a new website which can prove the quality of V7N Directory and the reason why I am promoting it for SEO purposes. This is just the first stage of the experiment and there are already some promising results.

I have been messing around with HTML/CSS (xHTML) for awhile now, and for it is a real pleasure to play around with the HTML coding. With graphics I am not that good even tho I managed to bring a new design to SEO Optimization. Since I literally have fun when I play with xHTML I decided to increase my fun and the online earnings too, i launched a xHTML Coding service site based on WordPress.

My goal is to get my coding services website on first page of Google SERPs for the keywords “xhtml coding”, the advantage I get to reach this goal is that I already have the keywords in the domain, I have done the title optimization, image optimization and used metatag description for the site as for the on-page seo optimization. What else xHTML Coding might lack at is the internal linking, for that purpose i build the site under WordPress but I am not taking much of my time to write tutorials and to interlink with the homepage and other parts of the site.

The site itself does not have have much backlinks as I have just yet to start with the off-site optimization, but for the few backlinks the site gained and all the benefit it had from the keyword rich domain the site got stucked in the 18th page of the SERPs. I decided to take it slow for the serps since I wanted to use the site for this experiment as well, experiment from which I hope many will benefit. I decided to list my services website on V7N Directoy on the web design category. Since the listing of the sites is alphabetically based my site is at the bottom of the list (there is just one more site under mine) so the exposure is kinda limited. But for my surprise since 11th October when the site got approved till yesterday the site has received 10 clicks from V7n Directory (roughly 2 clicks a day, I would say not bad for the exposure it gets, but it could be better) and the Good part is that the site has already passed the 18th page of the SERPs and is already on the 17th. But the sweet part has to come yet, of the 10 unique visitors V7N Directory sent to me one has already converted which means I have already took back the money I invested to submit my site and have earned $30.

It is too early to write about the experiment yet I would say, it takes at least a week or two to get the final SERPs position, but what I can say for this far is that it has performed very well for these few 5 days considering that the exposure in the page that I am listed is minimal to none (at the bottom), the page where I am listed has PR of 4 and total of 18 sites listed (included mine too).
